The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) – was developed by Elias H. Porter, a clinical psychologist who worked at the University of Chicago before moving to UCLA where he spent the rest of his academic career. SDI is a powerful tool that can be used for understanding and improving relationships and managing conflict and it is often used in businesses for leadership training, team building, conflict management and a host of other applications.
SDI is not a personality test in that it does not explore our personality but it is an inventory of our behavioural strengths and underlying motivations.
